Pablo E. Paredes Castro is a senior researcher in the Human-Centered AI division at the Toyota Research Institute and a Computer Science professor on leave from the University of Maryland, College Park. His work focuses on developing ecologically valid, ubiquitous affective computing technologies for behavior change and emotion regulation. At TRI, he creates innovative design tools to inspire creativity and foster surprise. At UMD, he leads the Pervasive Wellbeing Technologies Lab, developing systems for behavior change, stress management, and well-being. Dr. Victor M. Larios Rosillo received his degree in Electronics Engineering from ITESO. D. in Computer Science from the University of Technology of Compiègne in France. Currently, he is a Research Professor at the University of Guadalajara (UDG) and collaborates in information technologies dedicated to democratize the development of artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, digital creativity, environmental impact technologies and innovation in the health sector. He has a 23-year career at the University of Guadalajara, where he has been a leader and collaborator in several national and international projects of technological innovation.

Dr. Rafael Parra-Medina is a Doctor of Medicine with specialization in Pathology and Epidemiology. He holds a PhD in Biomedical and Biological Sciences from Universidad del Rosario. Dr. Parra-Medina is a Research Professor at Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud and Hospital San José. His research focuses on the intersection of pathology and public health. His research focuses on topics such as immunofluorescence in fixed and paraffin-embedded tissues, providing valuable insights into surgical pathology. He is an active member of the Latin American Society of Pathology, dedicated to education, research and clinical practice, which positions him as a leading figure in pathology and epidemiology in Latin America.

Dr. Teodiano Freire Bastos received his degree in Electronic Engineering from Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (Vitoria, Brazil), in 1987. His specialist's degree in Automation / Robotics from Industrial Automation Institute (IAI) of the CSIC, (Madrid, Spain) in 1989, and his Ph.D degree in Physical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, in 1994. In addition, Teodiano continued his research career as a postdoctoral at the Universidad de Alcalá (Spain, 2005) and he made a second postdoctoral stay at RMIT University (Australia, 2012). Currently, He is a Full Professor at the Federal University of Espírito Santo and Senior Researcher at the CNPq (Vitoria, Brazil). His broad research interests are in advenced control systems with application to mobile robots, industrial robots, rehabilitation robotics, assistive technologies, as well as in the processing of biomedical signals (sEMG, EOG, ECG and EEG).

Dr. Alberto López Delis received his degree Computer Engineering in 1992 from the José Antonio Hecheverría Polytechnic Institute in Havana, Cuba. He earned a Master’s in Automatic Control from Universidad de Oriente in 2004 and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Brasilia, Brazil. Currently, he is a Senior Researcher, Senior Technologist, and Assistant Professor at the Centre of Medical Biophysics at Universidad de Oriente, where he also serves as General Director. His research focuses on Bioelectrical Signal Processing, Pattern Recognition for Brain-Computer Interfaces, Functional Electrical Stimulation, and Biomedical Instrumentation. He has published over 40 articles in recognized databases and has contributed to various international conferences, including the IEEE Conference on Engineering in Medicine. He has received multiple awards, including the Best Paper Award at the BIODEVICE/BIOSTEC 2009 conference. Additionally, he holds a patent and is involved in academic committees and national and international project coordination. He also collaborates with the University of Brasilia.

Mario Humberto Aguilar graduated in Telecommunications Engineering from the National University of La Plata and obtained a diploma in Electrical Engineering. He has developed a remarkable career in the field of telecommunications and the development of health technologies, with special emphasis on the creation of medical and rehabilitation devices since 2006. Currently, he is a program coordinator and trainer at the “Center for Health, Disability and Elderly Technologies”, where he oversees the fabrication of assistive devices for people with various disabilities. His work has impacted more than 500 technical schools and universities in Argentina and other countries, training thousands of teachers and students. He has been a speaker at numerous conferences and has collaborated with various institutions in Latin America, being especially recognized as the creator of the Latin American Network of Technologies for Health and Disability in Colombia in 2014.
